1. Banana
A ripe banana is perfect for women who are being in a diet plan as well as do active sports. One of the keys to boost up your energy before your regular exercise is to have 1 ripe banana, because it will help maintain the level of energy for 1 whole hour without getting tired too soon. Banana is also full of dietary fibers and minerals. Besides, it is a great source of vitamins A, B and C. Especially vitamins A and C; they will help keep your cheerful and lively, but not weary look, no matter how strenuous you take for exercise.

2. Potato
Some probably have been told to stay away from potato, since it can put a few extra pounds on your weight. Well, that is definitely a mistaken idea. Although, potato is considered a source of high energy, it is still a better choice when compared to sugary snacks. But you’d better have it as boiled, mashed, or baked. Honey spread and low fat milk can also add a wonderful flavor to the potato. Apart from its delicious taste, potato is a good source of nutrition such as iron, Vitamin A, B1, B2, B6 and potassium. However, try to avoid French fries which are so popular among teenagers these days, because they contain 500 calories in 100 gram serving size, whereas mashed potato has only 85 calories in the same amount.

3. Carrot
On an afternoon break when you feel extremely tired and asleep from busy work in the morning, you may be used to drinking a can of cold Pepsi to refresh your mood. It obviously does help, but it also costs you a few excess pounds to your weight. Yet, it slowly jeopardizes your bones. Thus, instead of carbonated drink, try to go for carrot juice, and it would be even better if it is freshly juiced. Not only the carrot juice will help you cheer up and become livelier, but Vitamin A and C from the juice will also build up stronger immunity and make your skin healthier.

4. Cereal or Oatmeal
Cereal and oatmeal, although they are not frosted, are classified as breakfast that provides vast amounts of energy. If you add low-fat milk, yogurt and your favorite fruits, they will then become even more perfect breakfast, because, apart from being a great source of energy to muscles, they also supply protein and vitamins which are essential for brain function.

5. Water
Water is the best of the best! Even at the time you’re really tired, you should definitely drink water, however, don’t wait until you feel so thirsty that you’ll drink a glass of water. Keep drinking it all day long. Try to have a glass or bottle of water next to you or on your desk for your convenience, so that whenever you want to rest your eyes from work, you can promptly grab the glass or bottle of water and drink it right away. Why drinking a lot of water? The benefits of water are not only it cools you off and quenches your thirst, but it also nourishes your skin, stimulates excretory system. You can now say good bye to constipation which makes you feel uncomfortable.
